If you are suffering from high degrees of stress, low back pain, difficulty sleeping or focusing, this workshop is for you.  

 

In this beginner workshop, you will learn powerful stress resilience skills like breath and mind-body techniques that can be used to regulate your stress response.   We will practice a variety of mindfulness and body position techniques that are scientifically proven to reduce stress.

 

The program is especially beneficial to those who work in nerve-wracking environments, have experienced traumatic events, or suffer from constant worry. We have trained teachers in the Department of State and individuals from a variety of military and intelligence agencies. These techniques are equally useful for executives who are burning the candle at both ends or school teachers who are dealing with the pressures of the modern classroom.

 

Participants will receive a copy of my book: Hacking Your Nervous System for Less Stress.

 

What we’ll cover:

 

- Intro to the Autonomic Nervous System - Understand the science of fight-flight, anxiety, and how to lower tension

 

- Breathing Techniques used to release worry and regulate the autonomic nervous system

 

- Body poses to release tension including a method of shaking or tremoring out of stress

 

- Mindfulness practices that help to increase your awareness and regulation of thought patterns

At the Stress Resilience Institute, our mission is to help create a stress free world by bringing techniques previously only found in ancient practices, or buried in the latest neuroscience studies, to everyone. From senior business executives to college students, we have something for you.

Hacking Your Nervous System TM is our signature workshop. You will learn about breath and mind-body techniques that can be used to regulate your body’s stress response. Rob Hartman is the lead trainer for The Stress Resilience Institute, a training organization that specializes in advanced stress resilience methods. Rob’s two decades in cyber security and national security led him to discover his passion for helping stressed individuals. He’s trained special forces, martial artists, medical doctors, stressed parents, and war vets. Since 2009, Rob has received extensive training on the nervous system from neuroscientists, yogis, shaman, stress experts, and researchers in the US, India, Bali, and Peru.

For vets day I'll be on the mall.  Come join me and explore the advanced techniques being used to help war veterans and foreign service officers return to a state of tranquility after deployment.  This experiential workshop will feature mind-body practices being investigated by organizations like the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury and international relief organizations.

This Stress Resilience Mini Retreat features a combination of the best techniques for releasing stress and relaxing the mind & body.  

For over 5 years, Rob traveled the world to study advanced breathing techniques, core muscle release, and various previously secret techniques from India, Bali, and Peru from neuroscientists, yogis, and Kung Fu artists.  

The practice begins with breathing methods derived from ancient Tibetan, Yogic, and Kung Fu practices. Then the body is lightly stretched and exercised to release deep muscular tension.  Finally, you will be guided through a calming visualization.  You're guaranteed to feel the difference!

This mini-retreat will include instruction on at home/work practices for relaxing amid stress.

This retreat is limited to 6 people.  Bring your partner or a friend.
